The cheapest country in Western Europe, Portugal is a personal favorite of ours. From the cities to the coast, this country has so much to see.

Lisbon is a great starting point, where you can get into the Portuguese culture. Walk through the winding cobblestone streets that will either lead you down to the waterfront or up the hill to some beautiful viewpoints overlooking the city. Look out for the famous blue and white tiles that lines the buildings, and don’t miss the chance to taste a fresh baked Portuguese tart- yum!

Head up to Porto where you can taste their famous port and get a taste of the fresh fish on offer. Then head back down along the coast and hit up the surfer’s paradise of Peniche, check out the castle in Obidos and enjoy the resort town of Cascais.
